History

S trong Stock Farm is a 1791 land grant farm from the State of North Carolina.  The farm is located outside of Knoxville, Tennessee, and consists of a nearly 1,000 contiguous acres of rolling pastures and woodlands along several miles of the Holston River. The farm raises grass fed black angus cattle for livestock and retail markets.  The farm’s cattle are raised on an all-natural, grain free, grass only diet.  The farm’s pastures are chemical free and the farm’s cattle are not given any growth hormones. Albert George Kern, III., and sister, Martha Strong Kern, are the seventh generation to run and manage the farm.  Martha and George hope that Strong Stock Farm will continue to be farmed for many more generations to come.
